  Married: From an old letter written by Ezra Holmes, Jrs., dated May 24, 1863: "I don't know much of the Dawley boys. Hull was down to see me this spring and I hain't heard from him since. Henry's wife has a young son. We knew that Amanda had gone home and Barker did not. I wonder if she has left him for good as he was all used up for funds and I don't think her brother treated her very well and I don't think she enjoyed California very well."
