Ernest B. “Cy” Moone 78, of 431 School St., superintendant of the Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown for 28 Years until he retired in 1971, died Friday at Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick. He was the husband of the late Elsie (Fagnant)Moone.
Born in North Kingstown, a son of the late Willam B. and Myrtle (Briggs) Moone, he had lived in Guilford, Maine for the past 16 years until he returned to North Kingstown several months ago.
He leaves four sons, Ernest J. Moone and Terry W. moone both of North Kingstown, Francis J. Moone of Kingston, and Richard K. Moone of Coventry; Two daughters, Jacqueline J. Dawley of North Kingstown and Barbara F. Shippee of Warwick; two brothers, William L. Moon and Francis M. Moone, and a sister, Myrtle Matteson, all of North Kingstown; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandaughter
‘A graveside funerlal will be held Monday at 2 pm at Quidnessett Memorial cemetery. Post Road, North Kingstown.
