- 1880 census says Elizabeth was a hotel keeper. The hotel was at Greencastle Junction also known as Limedale about 2 miles south of Greencastle.
1870 census says that Elizabeth is hotel keeper and son John is the Hotel clerk
1860 Census has Elizabeth, John, William, Louisa and Louis A. living with William Steeg (limeburner b. 1821) and his wife Emily ( b.1831) and children Henry ( b.1857) and Julia ( b. 1859)
In 2005 I am guessing that William was a brother of Ludwig.
