  Notes	Family story is that he abandoned Margaret and their children around the time H arris was born in July 1899. He kidnapped Luella when she was about 2 years old and took her to live with him and his second wife... (He never divorced Marga ret)....and returned her to her mother when she was about 4 or 5. This story se ems to be borne out by the fact that on the 1900 census Margaret is living with her sister, Kezzie with Harris, but Luella is not listed. NOTE: Have found Ja mes and Luella living with James'nephew, Edwin Ellis, on the 1900 census in Un ion Twp., Clermont Co., OH. Lists birthplace as New Jersey???? and date of birt h as May 1837, age 63. However, there is no woman with James at this time (19 00).
