- ISAAC HECKLER Isaac W. "Ike" Heckler, 88, formerly of Upper Gwynedd Twp., died July 2, 2006 in Lehigh Valley Hospital at Cedar Crest in Allentown. He was the husband of Grace V. (Andrews) Heckler and they would have observed their 49th wedding anniversary July 30. The couple lived in Upper Gwynedd until moving to Upper Hanover Twp. in 1985. Born in Montgomeryville, he was a son of the late Isaac B. and Dorothy (Weber) Heckler. His career was spent working in land development. In the early 1970s, he developed the former Sandy Brooke Plaza, now Montgomery Commons. In addition, he owned and operated the former Blue Spruce Restaurant on the corner of North Wales Road and Main Street in Lansdale, for 10 years. His last project was the Brooke Run housing development in Upper Hanover Twp. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Isaac W. "Ike" Heckler, Jr. of the Poconos; a daughter, Brooke Maureen Heckler and her fiance, Richard Coruccini, Jr. of Upper Hanover Twp.; a grandson, Steven Isaac Nagy; and a brother, Preston Heckler and his wife, Gene, of Montgomeryville. He was preceded in death by a sister. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, July 12 in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale, where friends may call after 6:30 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Five Valley Square, 512 Township Line Road, Suite 103, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
