My parents (Thaddeus and Alice Jane Gregory) had come to Riverside in 1918 with my father's father, Marshall Helm, his family, and my father's brother, Philip Helm, and his family. Previously, my grandfather, Marshall had come to the area several times onhorse back from a little town in South Salt Lake called Union. He was interested in having his family settle in Riverside which was near Snake River. In 1918, they made the move. My parents lived on a 40-acre farm with a small house made of lava rock, aas many of the hoses were in that vicinity. Uncle Phil and his family had a house and some property nearby, and Granddad Helm had a house and a good-sized garden plot.@S1179@
