- ! Eleazer was on the Barren County Kentucky 1850 US Census. It shows his property worth $200.00. He is age 57 and a farmer. His second wife Mary age 33. Living at home still are two of his children by Isabella Wilborn, Martha A. age 18, and Moses M. age 16 and listed as a farmer. Along with Felix age 10, Jasper age 8, Eliza age 6 and Cadwalleder age 4 (Benjamin hadn't been born yet) all the children were born in KY.

In Deed book 9, page 410, Barren co, KY Glasgow court house, is this deed in lew of a will.
"this indenture made on the 24th day of May in 1871 between Elezer Jones and Mary his wife of the first part and Robert S. Jones and Cadwalder Jones of the second part all of the county of Barren and State of Kentucky do in consideration of an agreement upon the parties, the second party to pay all the just debts of the first party that now stands against them and furthermore to clothe and maintain said first party in a comfortable manner with all necessary food and raiment housing ---? and madical aid during their natural lives. The fist party has this day sold and conveyed to the second party a certain tract of land in the county and state aforesaid on the waters of Perters Creek where they now live containing one hundred and fifteen acres more or less, bound as follows: beginning at a stone in the end of a land corner with John Peden on Thomas SMiths line thence south 76 1/2 W 119 Poles to a stone thence n8W 55 poles to a dogwood a black oak pointer thence W 24 poles to a black oak now down corner with F E Jones, thence with his line N 27 E 68 poles to a black oak, thence N 68 W 57 poles to a black gum to maple thence N 24 E 30 poles to a cherry and hickory thence S 14 E 140 poles to the beginning; with all the appurtins to have and to hold and the first party bind themselves heirs assigns forever; to warrant and defend the above granted premises free from all others claims whatever retaining a lein upon the land to secure their maintenance in testimony whereof they have set their hand and seals theday above written.
